Banning reasoning is hypercritical

the Mod outlaw said "they (those banned Matsui and Roman) persisted with their own version of religious bigotry and deplorable anti-pakistani sentiments.

The Jewish religion on this site has been lambasted, being label as a racist religion and bans were not imposed. Anti-western sentiments are widespread and many times without just cause, bans were not imposed. Some one threatens to cut someone’s throat and a ban was not imposed. If you don’t see a problem with this then you are part of the problem. But this is a private run site and Pak.org can chose what message it sends out.

Im sure these members in question were afforded due process of the law and not outright deprived of life, liberty and pursuit of happy posting on GS. The staff of Pak.org gives the offending members more than enough chances to redeem themselves and usually the action of banning comes after the offender refuses to heed to such warnings blatantly. Somewhere the lines has to be drawn and it comes down to enough is enough.

So do you keep a track of everyone banned on GS? Or only your 'friends' aka people who share your ideas.

You have brought nothing but 'anti islamic' (or should I say muslim) sentiment to GS. I think we are pretty OK with you as long as you dont cross a certain line too many times. (abusive language etc etc)

Between all nicks...matsui must have 15000 posts. Do you think it was that difficult for us to keep him out if we really didnt want him to contribute his opinions?

As who-me said Matsui probably has over 15,000 posts under various nicks. He was given many chances to redeem himself but refused to take them and instead blatantly offended people with his various comments. Finally he crossed the line once too often and paid the penalty.

Who do you think you are? You accuse me of bringing nothing but "'anti islamic' (or should I say muslim) sentiment to GS " Show me these posts. I expect an apology when you fail.

I question why someone who threatens to kill someone remains allowed online and others are removed and you question me why I'm "only looking out for my friends"?

We allow for criticism and questioning of religions and culturual ways and political actions. We do not allow it to be done in an uncouth manner, and yes, we decide what is uncouth and what is not.

Folks who make such threats were edited and banned and a careful watch is upon them. Matsui on the other hand has been here for ages, and has been banned and allowed back in too many times. There was a temporal aspect to the reasoning as well.

And don't you worry, chanda. Folks who do anything outrageous here, will face a penalty. We are vigilant.

Vaise, if you're going to make claims like the one above, please provide some proof to go along with it.

Is SalmanNY out on bail then? He said he would "slash ROman's throat" in the thread called the "largest Mosque in Europe", correct?

His intimidation of death threats against those he disagrees with would hurt a community that is trying to share thoughts and ideas with one another, one would think. I myself have never been a fan of the intimidation method...

Yes he did make that threat in a forum I moderate - and I edited him, and he was banned.

The rest of the story, you could discuss with admin.

Was this in the Religion Forum? The moderating of the Religion Forum is taken very seriously. It is very possible that comments such as the ones above have been overlooked simply because I think it is impossible to monitor the threads each moment of every hour of every day. When you come across any comments like that and you feel no action is being taken, drop one of us a pm and we will respond to your concerns appropriately, as soon as our schedules permit. This goes not just to you but to others as well - drop us a pm and let us know if you think something is going wrong. Just paste the relevant URL's of the threads in your pm. We'll take it from there.
