KARACHI: Members of banned organisations are involved in incidents of bank robberies and other crimes in Karachi, more than the Taliban, said CID Functional Crime Unit head Raja Umar Khitab.
Speaking to Roznama Express, SSP Khitab said there was no proof of Taliban’s presence in the Old City area or Lyari, however, reports have been received regarding the presence of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).
On the issue of rising extortion cases, the SSP explained that summoning information regarding extortionists’ hideouts takes up to one week and till that time, the suspects have already shifted to another place.
Members of banned organisations team up with Lyari gangwar suspects and distribute chits among businessmen and traders. The chits have their numbers on them, which are used by police and other agencies to locate them, he detailed.
Locating the extortionists takes up to 5-7 days and within that time, people have already paid extortion after coming under immense pressure and the same happens in kidnapping cases, the SSP said.
The kidnappers take ransom within a week and release the kidnapped person, while most of the families do not even register kidnapping cases.
The SSP lamented that the technology available to the law enforcement agencies is not up to the mark and a great deal of crimes can be curbed in the city if the technology if upgraded.

Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
Maybe I am wrong but its my understanding that a lot of kidnapping gangs are affiliated to extremist outfits, that's how they get their $$$$?
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
That's cow dung!
If this SSP was affiliated with or under pressure of political parties why would he give their names?
Most victims of target killings are the activists of MQM, then of PPP and ANP followed by the rest. Does it mean all of them were killed by Laskhar e Jhangvi? That's stupid.
They don't talk about People's Aman Committee, don't talk about MQM, ANP, PPP activsts, those of Jiye Sindh, Shia terrorist squads (Lashkar-e-Mahdi, those who killed the Saudi diplomat) and the rest.

^ during the past few weeks, sectarian violence is also increasing in the city. There's complete breakdown of the law and order of the city and every one would want to get advantage of that.

Ethnic, political and sectarian violence is engineered.
The game plan is something else!
American / British plan to take over Karachi in near future.
Altaf bhai is already on the MI5 boat.
Zardari is wearing the CIA swimsuit too.
I think 'agencies' are also involved in the target killings; they are perhaps eliminating the 'treacherous' element to their perception.
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
^ we don't need any CIA or MI5 to destroy ourselves, we are capable of doing that ourselves. At the end of the day the people who are ratting out the subversive acts throughout the country are Pakistanis.
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
Almost all the political parties, stake holders have their due share in this violence and law order situation of Karachi in particular and Pakistan in general. They don't belong to our soil! All of them have their interests in the West. Be it Shareefs, Bhuttos, Zardaris, Walis, Altafis, all of them are loyal to their actual masters in the West.

This is the crucial bit.
If we don't have traitors in Pakistan the situation will be so much better. After all there are no blasts in Iran on the same scale, why? Because Iranians seemed to have not sold themselves out. Whereas in Pakistan we have from top to bottom.

Or otherwise known as traitors.

In Iran they don't give other (minority) sects as much liberation and freedom as we give in Pakistan to them.
Read history of Gen. Yahya Khan Durrani, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Mirza Aslam Beig, Gen. Musharraf and now Mr Zardari!
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
What that got to do with anything?
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
What that got to do with anything?
Totalitarian ideological system of Iran that we don't have in Pakistan. Hardly comparable!
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
Who is comparing the systems?

Alright they are all pro west. So who else you think are on right direction as a loyal to Pakistan?

I see no one, sadly.
Religious parties are also childish and narrow minded, they can't lead the nation.
Pakistan will remain a cancerous state until Allah shows some miracle.
Re: Banned Organizations involved in Target Killings In Karachi!
Whoever these criminals are, they do have some kind of support directly (or indirectly by their inaction) from law enforcing agencies, after all, these agencies have the final responsibility to stop, find and punish the culprits and restore law and order.
