There should be an exclusive area for banned members where they can practice the best practices of posting. I would be their detention center. They could also view all the happening in other forums and realize what they are missing and once their ban is over they will behave.
My idea might have some flaws so other guppies can improve upon it.

That area shud be a mod/admin-free zone! Where members can say/post anything they want! NO editing, NO deleting and NO remixing!
