Banna sanwarna

Is it only related to one gender or both ?!? How much time does one need for it ?! Some people take more time, some take less. Some want to remain natural, others might not even be recognized by those for whom it was done…

Per Allah (Swt) key wali jantey they ke Allah (Swt) ko to rooh ka banna sanwarna ziyada passand hai. Is liye woh ziyada waqt apni rooh ko Talawat, Ibadat, khidmat, diyanat, imamat, sadaqat, dawat…etc. key zarye khushbu-dar banatey they.*

Re: Banna sanwarna

The reflection of the heart (that is often reflected on the face) is more important than that of an artificialy presented image. Good and bad intentions, feelings and emotions are mostly reflected on the faces, specially through the eyes. One can hide the "nahusat" of Allah's open disobedience on one's face through makeup, but angels still know whose inside is glowing again after sincere tears of repentance and whose inside is still dark due to curse of un-repented and consistantly attempted sins.

*
(Sahih Muslim: Book 32, Number 6220),* He (Prophet Muhammad) said:
“Verily Allah does not look to your bodies nor to your faces but He looks to your hearts.” **
In just next hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said almost the same like above *(Sahih Muslim: Book 32, Number 6221)
*“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (saw ) as saying:
“Verily Allah does not look to your faces and your wealth but He looks to your heart and to your deeds.”**

Re: Banna sanwarna

^The sort of language you use in your so-called Islamic posts is enough to put others off from religion. Khuda ka khauf karen aur don't single out women by mentioning make up. Besides, make up has nothing to do with hiding your bad character, if you have a bad character it will show in your chaal chalan, your words that you utter, and your lain dain with others.

Main nay buhat se good looking men dekhay hain jo buhat gandi zehniyat ke malik hain (they don't put any make up on) but when you look at them you just wanna puke coz of their bud-akhlaqiyat.

Btw, I'd like to end my post with this, "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty".

There is nothing wrong in maintaining yourself in order to look presentable, in fact, it's encouraged in Islam. What you're doing wrong is that you're comparing putting on make up or nice clothes with hiding your bad character behind vanity. I'm sorry but there is no way you can hide your bad character and it doesn't mean that people who like wearing nice clothes etc should stop coz they think they have a good character and hence no need for looking presentable. Islam doesn't tell the pious people to look like tramps.

Re: Banna sanwarna

where did he/she talk about women specifically??? whats wrong in asking to put more effort in beautify innerself??

whats so un-islamic about saying that?? :konfused:

Re: Banna sanwarna

When did men start putting make up on? May be it’s a new fashion in Pakistan, if it is then my apologies for thinking make up is only for women.

There are better ways to talk about inner beauty, one does not need to use words like “hiding nahusat by make up”. In Islam we are told to call people to good by good means, using sarcasm and taking the mick out is not very Islamic.

I said one 'Can' not one 'Always'. Nahusat is a commonly used word in Urdu used by scholars and decent people for people who openly disobey Allah (Swt), just like curse, wrath,...etc. are used in English. Did my using this word conclude my usual language in past posts ?? Even if it is usually like that, I am not a good example to follow that my personal opinion may put others off religion.

True. Where did I say untrue ?! Yes, I did say that reflection of heart is more important than **artificially presented image, **but never said that looking presentable or maintaining yourself is discouraged in Islam.

Re: Banna sanwarna

Dunno why looking good equates to bad character for extremists.

Re: Banna sanwarna

RAW, buddy, wrong forum again.

You're looking for Religion & Scripture.

After that, I shared a religious perspective to it, you may share a non-religious aspect of beautifying oneself that is more related to life and relationships.

@ Mods. Plz make him a mod. My request to you.

ohh........i didn't read taht carefully.........i agree with what you said though....

Re: Banna sanwarna

^ I searched for the translation of nahusat online. It is "Bad luck". You can easily find a hadith about "Haram maal ki nahusat". I heard it from scholars that bad deeds brings signs of nahusat (bad luck) on face of people, means the noor from their face is vanished, specially when one consistently stops praying Fajr Salah (Morning prayer).

Still, if anyone feels offended, I apologize for that.I didn't intend to be sarcastic or mick out anyone. I had heard this word often and couldn't think of another word in place of it. Would insha'Allah try to be careful in selection of words in future.

Re: Banna sanwarna

Ah,..a bit of explanation I just recalled that I heard some time ago. Noor on face means the natural (not artificial) freshness and glow that Allah (swt) blesses a face with, irrespective of his/her color, when one tries ones level best to pray 5 times a day. When one stops praying, that noor of Sulhaa (piousness) is taken away from that face, till he starts praying again. Those saints who protect their gaze from haraam can recognize that noor of piousness on the face of a namazi, who offers salah with khushu and khuzu.

One can relate this hadith with two other hadiths. (don't remember the exact reference, but it makes sense)

  1. A momin is recognized from a distance (from his/her appearance that s/he is a momin)

  2. Momin woh hai jisko dekh kar Allah (swt) yaad aajaye. (Allah's obedience is evident from his/her appearance)

When a pious worshiper of the previous religion saw the Prophet (Saw) for the first time, he said, "THIS face can't be that of a liar. I declare that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad (saw) is the Prophet of Allah (swt).
