So I have been reading about this in the newspapers recently. Basically street artist Banksy sprayed a mural on a wall of a pound shop last year before the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Then all of a sudden the mural is removed. No one knows who did it as the owners of the building refuse to comment and it turns up in an auction in Miami. The mural has now been withdrawn from the auction as the council and residents are not happy that the artwork got removed. People think Banksy did this, next to where the original graffiti was. It says Why?

A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. A particularly distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
According to locals the artwork was bringing tourists into the area, helping the local economy.
But then it brings about the question who owns the graffiti after it is sprayed onto a building? Just because it is a famous artist should it stay there?
