I have lot’s of bangles (churiyaaN) and due to lack of a better place I’ve put them away in a few shoeboxes :o
Now I’m looking for some creative ideas to somehow make a stand or whatever for the churiyaaN (as I can’t buy it here in Holland).
I’m sure you girls are full of ideas so post away!
Shinno, Next time I am in pakistan I am getting one of those churiyaan stand, not that I wear churiyaan very often, but it looks nice when the churiyaan are displayed like that.. the colour and the oriental - desi touch makes it look great!!
Shinoo, my gosh, I was thinking of posting this exact same thread! I have loads of churiyan in boxes but I would like to put them on an attractive stand. In fact, I was thinking of building something myself.
Hmmm, I've seen that many times! But you need 'baqsua' hanger for that, don't you? The one u can click open?!

Hey I had one of those, got it from Lahore! My sis took it with her so that's why I moved mine to shoeboxes. And they definitely look nice in those stands.

I was also thinking of making my own.I just didnt know where to start and what to use so that's why I opened this thread. Let's wait and see, maybe someone will come with some ideas?!

Thanks, yeah that the kinda stand I'm looking for(second one). But the one I had b4 was with loooong horizontal 'arms'. I'm afraid I'll need a few of those to display all my churiyaan!
What are the prices of the ones u posted?

I am in the same position as you ShiNoO I have so many churiyaans' just lying around in shoe boxes...but my bangles are mismatched to a point where even if I do get a bangle stand I am also going to have to buy new churiyaan to adorn it with! My cousin who just arrived from Pakistan brought a bangle stand with her when she arranged her shiny, glittery, bangles on it and it looked absolutely charming.
i hardly have any bangles..after a while i just give them away..
but i can suggest few things..i have seen that my mom uses wool..and ties them up in rounds..
also i just thought of something..you can make your own stands..just go to a hardware store..and buy different sizes of wodden blocks and sticks..and join them together using nail and hammer..you can papermache them and then can paint them.
also you can do the same thing with iron rodes..just borrow a soldering iron from a store..and join them together..usually sales associates are very helpful at most of these stores..so just go and ask them..and they'll help you out with the material and how to bind them together :)
I came accross something while doing a search on bangles stand(on google.com)
Pencil stand of Bangles
If you have old bangles lying around in the house that nobody wears, you can use them to make a pencil stand for your desk.
The things you need:
1. Old bangles
2. Adhesive
3. Cardboard
4. Scissors
5. Pencil
Step 1: Collect bangles of different colours but of the same size.

Step 2: Use a bangle to draw a circle on the cardboard piece. Cut it.

Step 3: Now stick one bangle on top of the other using the circular cardboard as the base for your pencil stand.
Stick the bangles till you get a height of four inches. That is it. There is no need to paint or decorate. It will be the most colourful pencil stand that you will have.
my sister has 2 very stylish wooden bangle stands especially bought from pakistan, they are very trendy and very eye catching and they really stand out in the room. they look really nice now as they are full of rows of beautifully coloured schemed bangles.
