Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
And the reason behind my above post...
...See how slow CricInfo is? And to think they stole an award for this kind of a service......I say we, across all sides of the border, vote for Dawn next time around. :p
:D
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
One of the rarest starts by Bangladesh:
0.4 Lee to Rajin Saleh, FOUR
1.1 Bracken to Shahriar Nafees, FOUR
1.3 Bracken to Shahriar Nafees, FOUR
1.5 Bracken to Shahriar Nafees, three runs, on the pads, flicked away
behind square, Hogg does the chase and slides to stop the ball
- End of over 1 (6 runs)
- End of over 2 (13 runs)
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
I am taking multiple screenshots of the scoreboard. This might be one of the rarest starts Bangladesh has ever gotten to against the top single team.
Of course, I am not registered in that Bangali discussion board. How could you even think...? :D
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
- Outfield is really quick, the wicket is nice flat and a very good batting track, looks like it will be a big scoring game.
Rock and roll with 300+ on the scoreboard. Only if PCB had provided them with Afridi.......
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
3.5 - Bracken to Rajin Saleh, OUT: Gone! length ball around the off stump, Bracken rolled his wrist over, Rajin moves forward and tries to loft, gets the thick outside edge and ball goes high in the air to thirdman, straight to Lee.
- Deletes all screenshots taken *
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
i think Bangladesh will make 210 all out, Aus will chase it 37 overs
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
mine is 190 and 35
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
hmm, now im thinking 172 all out, Aus chase in 32 overs.
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
Bangladesh is getting roasted all around the park. The good thing is, this will be over very shortly.
5.2 Mortaza to Gilchrist, SIX!!, short ball, Gilchrist rocks back and pulls it over deep mid wicket, Half a dozen!!!!
5.4 Mortaza to Gilchrist, FOUR!!, in swinging delivery, fuller in length, Gilchrist bludgeons it over mid on, to the long on boundary, 50 up
6.2 Rasel to Katich, FOUR!!, short and outside off, Katich cuts it square of the wicket, runs flowing like a river here
6.5 Rasel to Gilchrist, FOUR!!, straying on the pads again and Gilchrist whips it to deep square leg, he is on fire!!
6.6 Rasel to Gilchrist, SIX!!, comes down the track and lofts it over long on, that is a huge one, what a way to raise his FIFTY!!, it has come of just 28 balls
7.5 Mortaza to Gilchrist, SIX!!, shortish delivery, Gilchrist shuffles across and flicks it over fine leg
8.2 Razzaq to Gilchrist, SIX!!, tossed up, Gilchrist waits for it and slog sweeps it over deep mid wicket, the score board is moving like an Indian taxi meter here
9.5 Mortaza to Gilchrist, FOUR!!, full toss, Gilchrist heaves it over mid wicket, when this man is in form, he is poetry in motion.
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
In the manner in which Gilchrist is currently playing, he is headed for the record books! After doing a quick search on CricInfo, and if he passes his century, he will be placed appropriately, as statistics show below -
** Top 10 fastest centuries in ODI’s:**
**Runs Balls 6s 4s Player**
102 37 11 6 Shahid Afridi
117 45 4 18 BC Lara
102 45 9 10 Shahid Afridi
134 48 11 11 ST Jayasuriya
108 62 3 10 M Azharuddin
111 67 7 6 JM Davison
127* 67 5 12 Basit Ali
122 67 4 13 AC Gilchrist
139* 68 9 10 Ijaz Ahmed
100* 68 2 8 Mohammad Yousuf
Gilchrist is well on his way to break his own record of 67 balls in no time.
Re: Bangladesh vs. Australia at Chittagong, April 23, 2006 1st ODI
Chalein jee, likha aur ungli khardee hogayi umpire ki.
