Ponting was reported to the ICC, reason being one of the dismissals yesterday was refered to third umpire as the officials on the ground were not sure whether the ball touched the ground or the toe of the batsman. Camera angles and slow motion replays suggested that it did hit the toe of the batsman, but the third umpire ruled it NOT OUT in the first place, which should have been deemed as final. After the decision came through, both batsmen had a sign of relief and one was seen congratulating the other. However, amidst this whole drama, Ponting literally walked up to the standing umpire, and started questioning the legality of the "third umpire's" decision. As was seen throughout the match proceedings yesterday, his body language and facial expressions were that of a 5-year-old kid who was robbed of a candy bar in front of a packed stadium. The result of his antics, the umpire was forced to reverse the decision back against the batsman (which was correct in the first place), and batsman was back in the pavilion in the blink of an eye.

And the above was the reason, that the super-power has now been reported to the ICC. I hope the actions are taken against him this time, as this disgusting act cannot be brushed under-the-carpet by no means.

We don’t know the whole story, though with Ponting even the umpire should also be banned for six months for taking BS from him and going back to third umpire again.
