Please, let me know why this THREAD was closed so Abruptly.
Why is it that the moderator has to be last one to reply in that post.
And he was given opportunity to relpy and why other people
were not given a chance to reply.
Forgive me, it was closed “abruptly”? There were 15 replies existent in that thread before I had even logged on and clicked on the thread to check it for the first time.
Thank you I received your pm and forwarded it to my co-Mod so we could discuss the issue together. Now that you have opened this thread in this Forum, I will reply to you here. The reason it was closed is very simple and it had nothing whatsoever to do with a “moderator” being able to post there last. Sorry, I do not care which individual gets the last word in. By default, that does not mean the person is ‘right’ nor ‘wrong’. I don’t care if it’s a Moderator, an Admin, or any other Guppy. The thread would have been closed regardless. Period.
The reason I closed this thread is extremely simple. The very first post initiated by the thread-starter contained these comments, Call a cat a cat, the ahmadiyyah movement is clearly outside the fold of islam, by declaring such issues as no jihad and also claiming prophethood after muhammad(saw) what do they expect other than being labelled non muslim. That sounds very much like a sectarian discussion to me. The thread will end up discussing whether or not Ahmadis are Muslims or not, and I am sorry - but we have a Moratorium in place precisely to avoid threads of that nature. The Moratorium is there for a reason as I have stated numerous times in the past. The Religion Forum is not a place to further disunity and conflict amongst our members; there has been more than enough sect-bashing in there and threads of that nature always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS conclude with personal insults and offensive religious and personal comments against religious personalities that some individuals hold dear.
Essentially, the thread violated the Moratorium. That’s why it was closed. All other similar threads of that nature will also be closed. Forgive me for sounding rude. 
However, this is the policy of that particular Forum and will remain in effect for the time being.

There are many posts which are more offensive than this one. People write against
Allah(SWT),Prophets(AS) and Companions of Holy Prophets(RA).
and it takes considerable time to close them. Sometimes the discussion is between HIndus and Muslims. And sometimes between Shias and Sunnis.
But the DIFFERENT SECTS IN ISLAM never abuse Holy Prophet(SAW) or claim
that person A or B is Prophet not Prophet Muhammad(SAW).I thought secterianism
means THE SECTS WHICH LAWS of various countries have defined as being under the
FOLD of Islam.
I also would like to QUOTE HERE that i was cautioned for using the word "deviant".
I didn't use it for a particular person or sect. I used it in GENERAL. But reminder
was given to me by a MOD. It doesn't make any sense.
A person just quoted an article which says that Bangladesh like Pakistan
is going to declare QADIANIS/AHMADIS as NON-Muslims. So what was so wrong with that. A article was quoted.
In my opinion its unfair.And thats JUST my OPINION.
In a recent post A person just compared UMR(RA) with IBLEES with the help of an example. Now where is your sect policy now. And a post about Aisha(RA) which
was very disturbing was also there for quite some time now.
Hence, where is the sect policy. In my opinion, mods should not be allowed to
give their opinion about various issues. If you want to close a thread, go ahead.
But do not give comments and close the THREAD on our face.

rehman, as my co-mod here Samarra explained, there is a reason for having a Moratorium in Religion Forum. Moratorium means suspension of activity and in case you havent bothered to open that thread, here is what the admin said in there:

If you or anyone else, doesnt understand any part of this, please do tell us and we will explain as long as it takes to make you understand that we DO NOT want to encourage nitpicking other faiths or sects in the forum. Now by sects we mean this "a religious denomination" or a "group adhering to doctrine or a leader". It can be Shias, Sunnis, Ahmadis, Wahabis, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Jews or any other kind.
You are more than welcome to contribute to the forum as long as its a productive discussion. If it offends other sects the moderators have to step in to take any action. Gupshup is very diverse in its membership and we have to accomodate everyone and respect their opinion and faiths. I hope you extend that courtesy as well. There is so much to learn here.
You have to understand that this is a discussion board not a plain website. Its dynamic and changes every minute with each new thread and posts and we are not robots sitting at the forum and checking every minute.
Keep in mind that we and the admins always take note of all the members who try to blatantly offend another faith or sect and appropraite actions are taken. Religion Forum (and all other forums) are taken very seriously by us and there is always an effort made by mods and admins to make it better.

Anyways, few of my questions remain unanswered. I think they will
remain unanswered. But i fail to understand why this article is so

The article is from BBC and they happen to be a news agency with objectivity. They dont give their own opinions on any news item, they report the news or facts as they happen. The exception is when there is an op-ed there with the authors own opinion.
Take a good look at you own comments at the end of your first post and I quote :

Now take a look at the rest of the 15 replies. As Samarra said, the thread was not closed right away only after 15 replies or so. The direction in which the thread was going was not healthy. Why? Read my post above again where I have explained what we dont want to encourage in the forum.
Moderators try to have laissez-faire approach usually and when certain rules or ettiquettes are broken, they take action and thats exactly what happened with your thread. Our job as mods is to uphold the Rules of the forum and moratorium. We dont have any personal issue with you or anyone else.

Oh, first the "deviant issue" now this. This is not my post. I was inquiring
that why It was so abruptly. You have to read the thread carefully and than tell me whether its my post or not.

gave HIS comments about the ISSUE and than THE THREAD was

Rehman sorry my mistake. You are right, it wasnt the thread you opened it was ak47 thread. I didnt notice who made those comments. Since you asked about this thread/article, my justification and reasoning for closing the thread stands the same as I stated above. I looked at the comments at face value. Not as who said it but what was said.
