Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

Bihari's may have been pro- Pakistan, and got murdered by the mukti bhahni, but the sad fact is Pakistan did not want to have anything to do with them, and they were left to rot in BD.

To talk about BD apologising for killing Bihari's, seems so shallow. In fact Pakistan should allow the Lakhs of Biharis rotting in camps, to return to Pakistan. The poor guys are still flying the Pakistani flag. That was another betrayal by Pakistan.

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

They did not separate voluntarily. It was West Pakistani rulers who persecuted and usurped their rights since partition, who forced them to separate. According to your logic, perhaps Quaid-e-Azam made the biggest blunder in dividing the subcontinent in history of mankind as AH said few years ago in India.

You guys were not born at that time and you don’t know what you are talking about. Bogus literature by JI and his cronies had always lied to the people of Pakistan. Listen to the interview of dictator who said he knew East Pakistan more than East Pakistanis knew themselves. Such arrogant, drunkard leader ultimately failed miserably to save Quaid’s Pakistan when majority refused to remain as part of Pakistan in 1971.

And the result was Pakistani, zalil aor ruswa howay. Yeh dhabba qiamat tak koi dho nahin sakta, when uncle of your favorite leader IK Niazi along with 95000 soldiers surrendered to Indian General Jagjeet Singh Arora.

Pakistan ne us waqt bhi maatam kya tha, aor is clip ko dekh kar ab bhi jis Pakistani ke dil main ratti brabar bhi sharm hay us ki aankhon nadamat ke aansoo hongay.

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

One time PPP was about to come in power and now it is in power.

Coincidence much? :D

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

.. ANd also to the later CMLA of Pakistan who incidentally absorbed many of those dirty dirtyest of the army into his party. Tikka when to jail for the CMLA.

AP uncle, can you elaborate upon the dirty dirtyest history of tikka with ppp as barray buzurg of this thread? :D

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

This has nothing to do with the breakup of Pakistan and humiliation suffered in 1971. General Niazi was unlce of IK who surrendered along with 95000 soldiers to Indian general.

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

1- Apology, no apology, West Pakistan was wrong. This included Politicians/political parties involved, and the army.

2- Apology cannot be conditional, otherwise it is not an apology, it is a business deal.

3- Showing remorse or regretting the event is not enough. Even a third party or irrelevant person can show regret. So what is the point of showing regret or remorse only?

4- Counting dead has no benefit. Either way, West Pakistan from Army action to JI backed mercenaries will be responsible for more innocent killings than Mukti Bahini.

5- If Army is against their own people then there was a natural reaction to create some force to defend or react in opposite direction. How can anyone expect not to have Mukti bahini formed in reaction?

6- Apology don't have to be such a big deal. No ceremony needed. PM or President should just release statement from home in shorts and banyan and be done with.

7- Saying we are better off without East Pakistan is very bad attitude. It may bite in the back after-all. We need to regret and not repeat the same, ever!

ISLAMABAD: Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena Wajid has informed the Pakistan government of her non-participation in a key summit on developing countries to be held in Islamabad later this month.

Earlier reports suggested that the Bangladesh would be represented at the conference by Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, however, sources said her attendance also seems unlikely now. According to foreign ministry officials, Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Mohamed Mijarul Quayes, or one of the advisers to the Bangladeshi premier, will now represent Bangladesh in the summit.

Sources told The Express Tribune that the Bangladesh premier and foreign minister handed over a list of demands to Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar during her visit. The demands included putting on trial former military and political personalities allegedly involved in the military action. Furthermore, Bangladesh sought an official apology from Pakistan for actions during the 1971 war.

Pakistan has lost its respect massively. Though Pakistan should tender an official apology to Bangladesh, but it is clearly against diplomatic norms to walk out of international commitments in this style.

Malaysian premier is also out of the summit. Given the interst of members of D8, I do not see any use of this whole excercise. Why waste so much of money on these useless outings of leaders and their entourages?

Re: Bangladesh - Pakistan Relationship

during the past 12 years or so, Pakistan has lost its weight (what ever it had prior to that). And we are talking about the region, let alone the rest of the world.
