Double standards. People from Bangladesh are moderate muslims and Bangladesh itself is secular. I am glad that at least some part of the former original Pakistan is now firmly allied with the principles that Qaid-e-Azam laid down in his famous August 11, 1947 speech.

And what is a Liberal Muslim? Do they have a different Kalma? Do they pray differently? Do they fast differently? Do they read a different version of the Quran?

They don't take every verse in the Quran literally, they wont burn down a whole theater if a girl is showing some skin. They don't call for persecution of Ahmadis etc. Extremist and hardcore muslims make islam look so harsh and hard but if we actually look in the Quran then it's not so hard to live an islamic life. In conclusion they are more tolerant people and want to keep separation of religion and politics But hey I'm Agnostic so I don't really care.

I agree with you but you're missing out on traditional muslims who practise tassawuff and don't believe in "forcing" Islam on others.
I'm sure there are extreme type of people in Bangladesh too.
