I am not kidding. According to former Bangladesh cricket coach, the reason for his (former) team’s awful batting performance is watching too much of Sachin and Inzi. Here is the exact quote:
“One problem is television back in Bangladesh. I think players are influenced by watching India and Pakistan players like Tendulkar and Inzamam hitting the ball all over the place in matches.”

I think the main problem for them is not having a good coach. But the way Aftab Ahmed batted in the second innings of second test vs England, I am quite optimistic that good times will come for Bangladesh. But when ??

I don’t agree with you shoiab. With everything going wrong for BD the only good thing which happened was the appointment of Dav whatmore. We all know he is a competent coach. With his efforts srilanka turned into a formidable opponents. However we have seen very little improvement for BD under him. Their win against zimbabwe and then beating India in an ODI. But there could be some other reason for their poor performances.
Althought they are not as gifted as we are talent wise. But bengalis seems to be a passionate nation when it comes to following cricket, and it doesn’t make any sense for a nation to be really passionate about a sport and at the sane time is without the talent. So i don’t think its a problem of talent. But if someone wants to know the problem in BD cricket, i guess it lies in the system. The problem is in the whole infrastructure which is not able to find the right talent and then bring it to the top level. The system needs overhauling.
