REF : India to press for permanent UN seat in talks with Annan
Bangladesh and Pakistan should sort out their differences and make a joint rotating bid for a permanent UN seat. The modalities should not be too difficult to work out. Perhaps they could take seat every six months.
India gaining a seat will be very dangerous for the two powerful Muslim nations on either end. All efforts must be made to block Indian entry until Bangla-Pak bid is accepted.
I urge our region to use commonsense to move forward. Having two nations share a seat in UN will also be a good thing for global diplomacy. Put your thinking cap on Pakistan and Bangladesh before its too late.
