Male Spectators will be prohibited from attending games when Pakistan hosts the eight-team Women’s World cup qualifiers in Lahore later this year
The society of Pakistan has come a long way in terms of Women’s Bill of Rights. Like any other third-world country, women role had been limited to kitchen and home boundary was acted like a Lakshman Rekha. The present day woman has defied the rules and regulations of their forefathers and pioneered the way of life. They are either Bilquees Edhi, the head of Bilquees Edhi Foundation and shadow of one of the most underappreciated international figure in welfare, Abdul Sattar Edhi, or Saba Khan, the first fighter pilot in Pakistan Air Force. These are opportunities that were not given but grabbed with intelligence, determination, and self-esteem.
Re: Males banned from women’s qualifiers in pakistan
There’s actually another thread discussing this.
After a sick religious fanatic killed a Punjab (female) minister in cold-blooded murder just because he did not approve of women becoming ministers/rulers, I think this is a very sensible move by the PCB. She was only 36. Just spare a thought for her young children and close family. He has basically ruined their lives. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=2007\02\21\story_21-2-2007_pg1_1
There are many nutcases out there who are against women playing cricket.
