So, what is happening now? Are movie theaters showing Bollywood movies jam packed now? Is this really happening?

yes i guess they are now gonna show most of the movies....we already have had welcome, race n tzp is coming soon!.

But why is this not a big deal? Why are the investors not jumping up and down? They can now get the masses to come to the cinemas.

Even India has lifted ban on Pakistani movies. "Khuda ke Liye" was released in India today.

Only problem is majority of our Cinemas back home are packed by tharkis and hardly any khwateen turn up becoz of them. Ban was hardly an issue b4 as people have been able to buy decent prints in VCD's of English and Hindi movies for sasta daam!

Maybe just me, but this is one of those events where people 20 years from now will look back and say "WHAT? We couldn't do this back then? Wow!!". Compare it to how kids today react when they find out that just 50 years ago even moderate families looked down upon smoking infront of elders, and male and females mixing together.
I guess it is because of the cheap DVDs available. I thought this would get people back to cinemas.

Its a good move by the government which should have been done a long time ago. Maybe after seeing the positive response to Indian movies in Pakistani cinema’s…the Pakistani film makers might feel ashamed and start making better quality movies rather than making disgraceful movies like the Nargis starrer “Gundi Run” and etc
