okay here is my assessment
take candid camera, boiling point and punk’d
put it in a blender, add heapfull of lameness, uninspired ideas, idiotic hosts and you have these pathetic shows.

very lame indeed.
I sat through and watched a whole episode hoping it might get better but I was greatly dissappoiointed. I mean its so lame and pakistani people are so serious but who can blame them for not handling the pathetic humour well, they get mad and start threatening, it must be so embarassing for the people pulling the stunts. You need a lot of confidence to handle so many threats in a short amount of time.
err... i actually find it very funny... if not the whole program but itself hanif raja is really a very good comedian host..
i also enjoy watching his Cinema scope...
frauds bhia.. i watched the same program in pakistan back in 1997... so i dun knwo if they are showing the old one or made a new one..

I find chup chupa ke pretty funny too. I was laughing my a$$ off in the episode when the tailor guy was trying to get the measurements for pants from his walk-in customers.
its poorly executed. the only skit that I have seen which was halfway decent was the real estate agent, thats it.
but someday desis will have shows like trigger happy TV, until then, thats one more thing i dont have to watch.
I wonder if there are outtakes where ppl start giving maan behen ki galiaan :)

They are not the best shows in the world but I am just glad to see them being produced at all in Pakistan. I don't think you are being fair to compare them with shows in the U.S.
Yeah chup chuppa kay is quite cool - the one where the duped Junaid J was quite cool. The guy got really serious!

they can only be mediocre for so long, comparing them to teh better shows is nto something I should be doing, but something they should be doingin order to provide a better product to the viewers.
Right now the only thing going for it is that it is Pakistani.
the concepts, approaches, people, production quality, sound quality all need a lot to be desired.

i agree chup chpa ke is pretty sad except maybe a couple of episodes.
the host was getting the people to listen to the sounds coming from the gutters and pretending he could hear someone stuck in there .
anyways the other sad one is the braekfast show where the lady isn't allowed to speak.
