Baluchistan’s largest province, Kalat, remained independent for a full year after Partition. Pakistan eventually annexed it through force. The Khan of Kalat also wanted to join India but Congress refused. The lack of contiguous borders was the reason offered by Congress for its refusal. The violation of this principle in accepting East Bengal as part of Pakistan did not trouble the Congress. **

Moreover when Z A bhuto was pounding baluchistan liberation force in 74 Sardaar Bugti used to be be Islamabad's point man and in fact he was deputed as the chief of baluchistan by Bhutto, the same sardar bugit today is with baluchistan liberation force, and that tells there is genuine concern. Without concern no nationalist becomes separatist within span of 30 years. Don't be surprised even today's Mushy's man in balushistan becomes separatist in next decade or so........
It's like Farooq Abdullah in kashmir joining Kashkar-e-Toiba.. Mushy can't shove it under carpet saying it's indian hands in all this....
Separatism may be supported from outside but there has to be genuine concern for this to survive for close to 50 years...
