Okay, for once I will agree with you. But don’t get used to it. Samosay should not be tampered with so. They’re good by themselves or as samosa chaat. But curried up…is too much.

I googled it and found a disturbing sight. It is basically samosas floating on curry. Samosa ka salan. I love kadhi, the pakoray wala salan…but samosay should be left alone.

Sentry, baalti Samosa could mean different things. If it’s simply a bucket full of samosas ala KFC style…I don’t see anything wrong with that. However, if you mean samosas in curry…then no, the idea doesn’t appeal to me.

I made this thread after looking in the freezer and finding this;

It’s curry in samosas. This world is going mad.

Also, if you type “balti samosas” in google, this thread is 3rd or 4th on page 1. Go me..

most pakistanis that know and have had REAL samosas in Pak, in the good ole days, won’t even touch those “samoseees”.

seriously, the size of these packet samosis are so small it not even funny.

i call them samosiyan, and don’t eat them. I prefer the ones made at home by the wife, or ones made by mom.
