Does anyone know if easily available balsamic vinegars that do not have wine vinegar in them. Something that can be located easily in larger grocery stores.
I’ve seen a lot if them with wine vinegar and am not ok using them. I know trader Joes and whole foods has balsamic that does not have alcohol but we don’t have those stores here. 
Balsamic Vinegar
Balsamic vinegar is made from grape pressings that are not allowed to ferment, thus it doesn’t contain alcohol. The grape pressings are boiled to a syrup like consistency, that’s how the vinegar is made, there is nothing added to it. I’ve never heard of it containing alcohol. I’m looking at the one I have on hand right now and no mention of alcohol at all. It’s Monari Federzoni Brand, I got it at Walmart.

Not correct. True balsamic vinegar does not have any additives of wine vinegar. It is strictly grape pressings boiled, and not fermented. The cheap variations may be wine enhanced to achieve the sweetness, but asli balsamic vinegar has no alcohol.

^I was about to say that as well. True quality balsamic vinegars do not contain additives of wine vinegar as the flavouring comes from the grape pressings and the process. Alcohol is added to lesser quality vinegars to improve the flavouring and add sweetness.
Ahh ok, so what kind of ingredient list qualifies it as a good balsamic vinegar. I’m not sure I’ve seen the one khatti mentioned at our Wal-Mart.
Balsamic Vinegar
There won’t be any ingredient list because it’s pure…look for something that says “aged” 12 years is the minimum a traditional balsamic will be aged…25-30 year aged is the real good stuff, and also quite expensive. The $10-$12 is usually imitation, for real, good quality balsamic vinegar you can expect to pay at least $30…it should smell sweet and be syrupy.
Try any specialty food store in your area or just order online.

Trader joe doesn’t add wine to the final product of balsamic vinegar.. You can get the one you need.. Some is for cooking and other for salads etc so buy the one you are looking for
