use of helicopter gunship is too much show of fire power on baluchis
india is right in iterfering in pakistan’s affair though it is internanl matter
‘‘The government of India has been watching with concern the spiralling violence in Balochistan and heavy military action, including use of helicopter gunships and jet fighters by the government of Pakistan to quell it,’’ MEA
It's more ludicrous that our unfriendly neighbours pretend to show concern for Baluchis. One lesson from the Pakistan Army's half-assed approach to putting down the Bengali traitors in 1971 was that we should never pull our punches on counter-insurgency ever again.
Any further traitors must be met with the full might of Pakistan... with every weapon we have at our disposal bar the WMDs.
pakistani is for only punjabis all non-punjabis will realise soon as the population pressure grows sharing of resources will be very uneven between punjabis
and non-punjabis .
It’s not about all Balochis. It’s about a few sardars, especially Bugti. These sardars are afraid of the development work carrying on in Balochistan. They are afraid they will loose their power over common folks there. And this explains their terrorism.
There are more civilized ways of getting your point across. Did they try going to supreme court, for example, if they had concerns over royalty? Instead Bugti&Co. resorted to terrorism.
awwwww indian cocern for poor baluchis brought tears to my eyes. did they save a little cocern for people of kashmir? some concern for the sikhs of east punjab that were showerd with hindu love in the recent past....some concern for people of the states of asam, nagaland...when is india withdrawing its forces from asmam/kashmir and giving them their rights, possibly independence...... but you know, they have no concern left for these people. they spent their concern on the poor pakistani people..poor india :(
Its Official now, Indian Foreign Ministry has started contributing to JOKES section of GupShup and man they are good at it and best of all, jokes are original!!!!
Its part of a plan, train some insurgents, see getting their asses kicked and then try to hype up "such crimes" in international media :), it was tried by indian ex-God USSR in Balochistan, it didnt work then it will never work now!!
your own newspaper says there is a problem of opression of
smaller provinses.
But far from this there is civil war going on in the north which has now been extended to Balochistan and the people of Sindh have their backs against the wall due to exploitation, deprivation and oppression. This is hardly the time to kindle more flames by propagating a project which may best be justified as nothing more than an ego trip or a red herring.
There are more civilized ways of getting your point across. Did they try going to supreme court, for example, if they had concerns over royalty? Instead Bugti&Co. resorted to terrorism.
You being serious? You expect the govt controlled judiciary to provide justice for the Baloch people?!
Baloch people have been abused and taken advantage of for decades, the only way people take note is when they fight for their rights
while not a very mature response from india, imho, this is the kind of responses that mushyocracy will be getting from india every now and then. there is almost no chance of india trusting mushy no matter how many ever trips he makes to ajmer. military leadership simply is not the people indian govt would want to make permanent significant agreements with. definitely not with an ex-kargil hawk turned cheshire cat.
i have over the past year and a half changed my opinion for whats best for india when it comes to pak relations from friendly open relations to mostly isolation except purely for mutually beneficial economic trade. india has a future very different from pakistan's.
^ you are getting old queer the change in mood towards pakistan is a reflection of that lol..mind you the most effective agreements India has signed have been with Military dictators..the Indus basin agreement ..the agreement against attacks on nuke installations..the significant civilan made agreement was the simla accord..and the lahore declaration..Indias interests aren't ( in the same way as all nations)..and never have been based on democracy in it's neighbourhood..
It's very difficult to trust Pakistani military government, NOT BECAUSE OF ANY INDIVIDUAL but due a number of factors...such as.. - there is no leadership except Musharaf. One man is able to do and undo anything. - that one man is taking an amazing (truly amazing) number of great decisions for grate enhancements to Pakistan but seems to have several blindspots/personality issues - therefore no agreement can be validly reached All this has little to do with Baluchistan - Some silly Indians and some immature Pakistanis may take pleasure in painting such a story that India has something to do with the uprising there...fact is, India has zero time talent or resource to spare for anything to do with Pakistan. Defending Kashmir, safeguarding market places from terrorists, and most importantly planning for the Chinese competition in software (now the window is less than 5 years) are all India can deal with. On top of that, the forx reserves are in serious threat given the oil prices. No insult meant, but quite frankly my dear, we Indians have bigger problems than Pakistan.
Cleveland Brown, much like what Bush and his neocon friends were doing and are doing? Taking decisions and lying to the the American public about Iraq war, etc.?
India has no business in Pakistan's INTERNAL affairs, period. Last time India did that, millions of people lost their lives. I guess, regional bullies and super power wanna bees don't ever stop and think over what they are doing. India should appreciate Pakistan for not blaming violence in Balochistan on India and it's intelligence agencies like India does when there is violence in any part of India, ISI (booga booga) and Pakistan get the blame, no questions asked.
Jaan Leva - what's your arguement here? that India is causing or abetting the uprising in Baluchistan - my whole point was that India has bigger fish to fry than that. Or if your objection is to some Indian minister advising Pakistan - they're going to do that just like Musharaf never misses a half chance to bring up 'settlement of Kashmir' as if he is in a divorce court.
