Sardar ata mengal has had a telephonic conversation with nawaz sharif, in which he believes that Pakistan army has taken the balochistan problem to a point of no return and if nawaz sharif plays his part he is willing to forego his exile and return to the country.
If nawaz sharif is Able to play a positive role in this aspect that would be a great service to Pakistan.
**KARACHI: Eminent Baloch leader, Sardar Ataullah Mengal said that the Pakistan Army has taken Balochistan to the point of no return and if Nawaz Sharif was able to resolve the Balochistan crisis he will no longer live in exile.
**Mengal was talking to the head of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif at his residence in Karachi. Talking to media persons, Nawaz Sharif vowed to fight for the case of Balochistan on all fronts and said that there will be no progress on the issue if the killers of Nawab Akbar Bugti were not arrested.
Nawaz Sharif also admitted that Balochistan is facing cruelty.
Mengal added that past mistakes should not be repeated in Balochistan. He stressed the need for accountability of those involved in atrocities in the province.

Sardar ata mengal has had a telephonic conversation with nawaz sharif...
They met in Karachi and discussed Balochistan situation.
I would beg to disagree with the assessment of "point of no return" ... situation is terrible, but still containable. Unfortunately the entire leadership of the country, including PTI, is all about either completing 5 years of loot or sneaking into the corridors of power. Balochistan generally does not figure in their to-do list as seriously and vigorously as power issues :(
A new team of Chandah khors ,thieves ,Corrupts and Looters is ready .
It is their turn now.
what did "current" team of innocent, honest, hardworking PPP achieve?

Very few Baloch accept Pakistan anymore. They want to opt out. The violence maybe not be that bad but the hearts and minds have been lost forever.
People who don't live in Balochistan have no idea about the facts and are merely passing their opinions as facts sitting thousands of miles away. Here are the hard cold facts:
Balochistan's budget has been increased almost 300% in the past few years. If the Baloch bureaucrats and politicians don't spend it on Balochistan, its their problem.
Getting training, weapons and money from CIA and RAW, some Baloch groups started butchering non-balochs including punjabis and urdu-speaking people. These were innocent doctors, lawyers, professors. Word on the street was that kill a punjabi and get cash from RAW. Rates had been fixed. This was not about deprivation of Baloch rights, but pure and simply genocide. They killed around 5000-10,000 non-balochs during the last 5 years with complete support and backing from the Baloch politicians, sardars and bureaucrats.
Whenever people from the federal capital or other parts of the country wanted to do talks, these balochs sardars simply spat on ground and said we will gain independence.
While killing Akbar Bugti was obviously bad thing, but just to give you an idea of how these baloch sardars keep their people, visit dera bugti which he ruled for decades. It is the most stinking, backward place with private prisons and animals living better than humans. These sardars don't let development to be done in their areas as they are against awareness. Ataullah and co staged bitter protests against the Karachi-Quetta highway, which bye the way they currently use to loot the passenger buses.
Balochistan comprises of a very large number of pushtuns (probably more than 40%) and while the pushtuns initially supported the Balochs, their lives have been ruined due to the destruction caused by Baloch rebels. Balochs have almost no stake in agriculture or business and the constant blowing up of electricity pylons has ruined the crops and trees of the pushtun belt. All the visitors to Balochistan from other parts of country has dried up leaving the pushtun businesses in dust. The situation in Quetta is that every competent doctor, lawyer, teacher has left and people are becoming miserable because they now have to get treated by Bloan Medical Collage fail "local" doctors. You really have to see these guys.
Nawaz Sharif is the biggest manafiq in the history of Pakistan. He is just giving these statements to get a few votes. He sat on his fat butt when punjabis and urdu-speaking were being butchered in Balochistan. If he loves the Baloch so much, then he should send his sons to live for some time in Balochistan and enjoy the "hospitality". It is very easy to keep yourself and your family away from harm's way and pass judgements on the punjabis whose families have been killed by these Balochs.
Ataullah has his tail between his legs because pakistan army has broken the backbone of these foreign backed terrorist baloch groups and NOW they want peace talk. Peace has been restored in Balochistan (relatively speaking). I mean at least now people can move about in Quetta without getting killed or kidnapped. The head of the snake must be crushed and then you will see these same rebels begging even more.
A large majority of Balochs are peace loving people and these terrorist, CIA and RAW backed hindu balochs don't represent even 5% of Balochistan.
KARACHI: Veteran Baloch nationalist leader Sardar Ataullah Khan Mengal has accused what he described as the “Punjabi army” of committing atrocities against the Baloch people that had pushed the situation to a ‘point of no return’.
**He also came up with a disarming acknowledgement that “nothing is in my control now”.
“This is not Pakistan Army. Rather it is the Punjabi army that is indulging in such inhuman acts against the Baloch people,” he said while talking to newsmen along with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif after meeting him here on Monday.“Baloch youths don’t want such a Pakistan in which they receive mutilated bodies of their compatriots. It is for them to decide [about their future], because they are being systematically eliminated and forced to seek refuge in the mountains,”** said the former chief minister of Balochistan and the founding chief of the Balochistan National Party.
He said the people of Balochistan were disillusioned, but then held out a ray of hope:** “If one last effort is made with sincerity, there is a possibility that Baloch youths might agree to discuss their grievances with Islamabad.”**
An ominous note followed: **“But if atrocities continue the Baloch will never accept a united Pakistan.”
****He called for accountability of those responsible for the killing and kidnapping of people in Balochistan and questioned why no similar action was being taken by the army elsewhere in the country.
**Mr Mengal said that if the powers that be wanted to save Pakistan, all “heinous acts” must come to an end and dialogue should be initiated with the youth of Balochistan.
He accused Interior Minister Rehman Malik of hurling threats at the Baloch.
**About the Balochistan package announced by the government, Mr Mengal said: “The package is empty.”
**
Mr Sharif termed Ataullah Mengal’s concerns legitimate, conceding that atrocities were being committed in Balochistan. He said his party would also talk to Baloch youth.
About the assassination of Akbar Bugti, Nawaz Sharif said the “killers must be called to account”.
“If they are not made accountable then who will be?” wondered the PML-N chief. In reply to a question, he said he was looking for “a cooperative relationship” with the BNP.
Answering a question, Mr Sharif said he did not expect a martial law or any such move and called upon all political forces to pre-empt all such designs through unity.
I am all with dealing with "balochi youth" like giving them preference in jobs in balochistan, so they own their area, but without any insight of these parasitic sardars. If balochistan has to succeed, then we have to cut off these parasitic sardars who have done nothing for the area.
Separatist leaders always make claims of no return. After all the Taliban have been doing so for the past 10 years and now they are at the negotiating table.
I am not a Baloch myself, but some of my close relatives have relations to Baloch’s (Bugti’s), and they have been driven off from their lands. Many have been killed over the past few years. Most of them have been disillusioned with the concept of Pakistan, it depends upon us whether we consider that as a threat to the stability of the country or not.
Well if you read Hamood ur Rehman Commission this was the same thing Pakistan Army used to think about Bangladesh (East Pakistan), and they couldn’t figure out why they wanted to get free when Pakistan was spending so much on ‘poor Bengalis’. Now Bangladesh is much better than ‘rich Pakistan’. Anyways the slogans of independence cant be bought by money or subjugating the local people.
Pakistan army has never given a proof to anyone about the involvement of RAW and CIA in the Balochistan issue. I can see ths mistakes of our military establishment which has pushed the Baloch’s to the brink.
The army has never tried to reconcile with these people. The last serious effort was when Shujaat tried to open a dialogue with them but Musharraf foiled that by killing Bugti. Even now on one side the government is presenting Aghaz e Huqqooq package, but their people are still being picked up and their dead bodies turning up in various areas of Balochistan.
I agree with you that these sardars also have a role to play in keeping the area backward, but no serious effort has been taken by any government as well. The funds and jobs given to the baloch has been minuscule which used to cause a lot of resentment in the people. Most of the people who work in Balochistan are from other provinces.
I agree with you but this happens in any place where there is insurgency. What I know is violence breed violence. Unless the military establishment understands we will see this vicious cycle go on and on. The situation of Quetta has been partly affected by the Baloch’s, what about taleban influence there? the killing of Hazara’s for instance has also been carried out by Baloch’s?
Well anyone who plays a role in ending this conflict is a good thing, even if its NS or anyone. During any conflict people will be killed and thats what happened in Balochistan, as the Punjabi equated to traitors (Punjabi spies) in the eyes of the people living there. This happened in Bangladesh as well, there are a lot of similarities between Bangladesh and Balochistan and that’s what we need to be vary of.
What’s your solution to the problem? Kill all the Baloch terrorists? By the way most of the ordinary Baloch people have been disillusioned from the concept of Pakistan and they think that Pakistan does not care for them. NATO with the backing of all the first world countries couldn’t finish off the insurgency in Afghanistan and now they want to talk to taleban. IRA, Spanish Basque Party have renounced violence through negotiations.
This is also your personal feeling, when you cant have Pakistan independence day functions in Balochistan schools freely now. That tells you that something’s wrong.
At the end of the day the solution will be through dialogue whether we like it or not, and if Ata ullah Mengal (who the Baloch’s revere) wants to play a role in its end I think the military and the government should take the opportunity to end the crisis once for all.
Here are some tweets from moderate Baloch elements who have been a part of parliament:
