Is it “gay” for a guy to want to do ballet?
I mean I havent done it but would love to learn. Expressing emotions through coordinated movements seems so cool, and the routines you catch on TV are nice.
But I’m 20, Asian, male…have I missed the boat?

It is NOT gay for men to go see the Ballet. Go, enjoy and expand your horizons.
No no no, seeing it is fine. I plan to do that, DOING ballet. You know, guy in tights twirling on my toes with women going :
"oooo, aaaaaaaah"-he's so graceful.
:D
^ hey, Bihari Elliot!! If you are 20, you have missed the boat.
Damn...
Wished my olds have encouraged me. I was told to play Cricket (and am quite good), but I missed out on playing an instrument and ballet. :(
I'll have to become an expert in it by observance then. :)
^ learn an instrument then.. its never too late for that..
hmm try jazz ballet.. i think u can still do that. A friend of mine took that up when she 14 from memory..
It isnt "gay" for a guy to participate and learn ballet at all! At the age of 20, you arent likely to make it into a performing ballet company but its a wonderful thing to learn. Also, you'll get fussed over by all the women/girls! There are never enough men in ballet for the women to each have a partner, to learn pas de deux ballet so the guys always get passed around :)
Go for it!
Ballet is an art. I don't think it's gay at all for a guy to do ballet. If you have the flexibility and are able to dance, then why not? You may be a bit old though. :p Why not try jazz/tap? I wish I could tap dance.
Try bellydancing.
I think it's gay.
And yes you have missed the boat. You shudve started at 5,,is it..
It's not 'gay' at all.........the majority of boxers practise ballet as it aids coordination. The tutu is optional of course.
Don’t mess with mah TUTU! ![]()
The best ballet I've ever attended is "Swan Lake"
I have seen that on TV several times, ala Nutcracker. I need to develop a good knowledge on it, its really attractive to the eye.
i don't think there is anything wrong with it whatsoever
i think it is great that their is an asian male interested in some sort of culture or arts (no offense guys-my dates to anything musical, dance, or art oriented are female)
i agree that you're probably too old to be professional or anything of the sort, but it is always fun to try new things
go for it!
:)
sweetie
Well I say do whatever your heart says and you will always be happy in life…![]()
