Sitting at work i try to balance my diet by eating a fair portion of healthy food and a fair portion of not so healthy food.
I have one banana, one apple and a healthy low fat rice n vegtable dish. On the otherside i have been offered a jam doughnut and a couple of choclate hobnobs (biscuits/cookies) .
Does this constitue a healthy balanced diet in your opinion ?
Yes everything in moderation is ok. It's ok if you have a donut a couple times a week. As long as you are getting some exercise as well. It's known as empty calories. So if you get nutrients from other sources then you're ok.
