What you think is the right/healthy balance between these two? and what information you think one can share with these online buddies? Do you feel comfortable sharing information like what you drive to work, how much you earn and what you posses with these complete strangers (with an exemption of your close friends)?

Sara issue is not what some do and don't. It's their personal choice and they have a right to express what they feel is OK for them. The issue here is how far YOU would go when it comes to sharing personal information.

Guys very interesting as Ive been asking myself this all since I ve joined- being a female you have to place a little formality and discretion on certain things such as numbers/ ID's, status and so forth but then i realised that when you do strike up a conversation with someone that you feel is genuine and nice , then it does become difficult to withold information- even like your real name.... I have shared personal info but Ive done so believing that it will be respected with complete and utter confidence.. i do think guppies have to tread carefully but with guppays I reckon is isnt that much of an issue... what do u say???

But colourful eyes- I agree with u - actually it wouldnt suprise me if over half are, but i think you get a " vibe" about those that are- especially if you converse with them on diff threads??? Therfore its " safe" to divulge sum info?? Otherwise you could fabricate a whole new person and each comment would be false???? and then why would u come on to a site like this????....Mmnnnn
