Baked Samosas and Pakoras

I read in a blog , a member talked about making baked samosas. its first time ever i am hearing baking samosa and other fried stuff. I am vey interested in knowing how you people do that. Please share your unusual recipes of baking food instead of frying. And please do post photos as well. I wanna see how baked samosa looks like.

Re: Baked Samosas and Pakoras

I will post photos on Monday InshAllah as hubby wants us to go for iftaar at the mosque today and tomorrow.

Anyways, I bake my samosas and rolls. I simply preheat the oven to 375, spray the pan… put samosas on it and stick it in the oven for about 10 mins. I flip them over sometimes too in between. Once they are crispy, I take them out and serve right away so they remain fresh and crispy.
They do not change color much. They become slightly golden but not like fried ones. They may not look as good as the fried samosas/rolls but they are wayyy healthier.

However, the other day, I made them too early and they got cold. Thus, I decided to warm them up on the stove/tawaa. They changed color into brownish like the fried samosas and roll.

Re: Baked Samosas and Pakoras

Thank you Dear  i will be waiting for the photos too

By the way dough’s recipe is same as regular samosas?

What i do is if in 8 table spoon of flour i add one table spoon ghee (melted) pinch of salt and pinch of baking soda. Some times they get ultra hard and dry and sometimes they turn out nice. Please share your fillig recipe too

Re: Baked Samosas and Pakoras

I also bake samosas but brush them with a little veg oil which helps make them a bit crispier - they’re not as great as friend ones but not bad at all considering how much healthier they are
