has anyone ever baked kababs in the oven rather than making them on the stove? I can never seem to get it right
Thought I would try to bake them this time… yes? no? any tips?
Re: baked kababs
Never done it before, but I would shallow fry them first to seal the outside, then bake them. I’m guessing they will come out too dry without that step.
Re: baked kababs
no, as long as you put oil in the mixture and oil the baking tray you should be fine.
Re: baked kababs
wrap in aluminum foil for first 30 minutes at 350 degrees C and then unwrap and bake for another 10-15 minutes. it will come out quite soft.
Re: baked kababs
i have tried it … in a glass tray covered with aluminum foil … then last 5 mins under the broiler on full heat to get them browned … but to be honest it doesn’t taste the same as pan fried and texture is diff too.
so i now just use a non stick with a tiny amount of oil and pan fry … t caramelizes the outside so much better this way and the meat … no matter how lean …still releases a bit of its fat which further helps fry the whole thing …
