Baked Egg Halwa

Ingredients:

Eggs 6 separated egg whites and yolk

Ricotta Cheese 3/4 cup

Sugar 2/3 cup

Almonds 1/4 cup

Milk 1/4 cup

Vanilla Essence 1 teaspoon

Oil for baking pan

Method:

  • Grease a 7 inch square cake tin. Put egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and beat together until pale and fluffy. Add ricotta and beat until smooth, add milk then stir in the almonds and vanilla essence.

  • Using an electric whisk, whisk egg whites until thick and creamy. Carefully fold into the yolk mixture.

  • Pour into a prepared tin and bake in the oven at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cut into squares and keep in refrigerator, serve cold.

I tried it almost 4-5 times, it tastes good and yummy, like a very softened cake.
If kept in refrigerator covered with plastic wrap that protects halwa form dryness.

I think i will give it a try after I come off of my diet.
