Rules of Bait Bazi:

  1. Shair should be genuine and not your own. Post your own in Bait Bazi — Personal Edition of Sho’ra-e-Gupshup.
  2. Dont break the chain and always follow the last letter of the last posted shair.
  3. Always mention the last urdu alphabet of your shair.
  4. If you know the name of the poet, mention that (for other’s knowledge sake).
  5. Do not write out the whole ghazal/nazam; only two shairs (i.e. Rubai, qita) at max will be allowed.
  6. Avoid posting film songs.

Any particular reason? Are those not consider poetry? Many nig names in poetry like Qateel Shifaai, Sahir Ludhiyaanvi, Ahmed Faraz, and even Ghalib have been used for their poetries in movies' songs.

ye ajeeb khail hai pyar ka mane ap dekha ye mojza
woh jo lagz mery guma'n mai thay woh teri zuban par agaye

Hmmm. Bait Bazi has always been free of filmi poetry because a better place for it is Shor Sharaba where Antaakshiri type of threads were in action. Lekin yahaN par bhi ye mumkin hey upon "public demand’ … so aap ka aek vote count kar leiN? :~)
