insurgent bombers struck again in Baghdad, killing at least a dozen people at a crowded intersection, police said.
Thursday, a suicide car bomber drove into in an eastern Baghdad marketplace, killing 12 people and wounding 56 others, police said.
The attack took place in Baghdad’s al-Jadida neighborhood at a busy intersection near a mosque, post office and movie theater.
Video from the scene showed burning vehicles and billowing black smoke.
A few hours later, a suicide car bomber targeted a U.S. military convoy along a highway in western Baghdad, wounding five civilians, police said.
