Re: bagharey baingan recipe
If you are in the UK, you can use that "panj poori" mix from Pakistani and Indian stores and can use to cook baighan, tori and even achar ghosht.

Re: bagharey baingan recipe
This is my nani's recipe and its lovely! it goes so well with biriyani. It is always a hit with guests
1) take baby began and cut a cross into the top of them and fry in a little oil for 5 mins
2) in a pan fry peanuts, sesame seads and coconut powder until they are all toasted- blend into a paste
3) new pan- add whole garam masala into a pan and fry and add mustard seeds, and kala zeera and mehti seeds and then add 1 chopped onion and curry patha. fry until onions are soft.
4) add adrak and garlic and fry
5) and corriander and zeera powder and a little chilli powder and stir
6)add some water and make into a masala
7) add peanut, sesame and coconut mixture and stir on a low heat.
8) once the oil comes to the top it is ready
9) add imli pani and half teaspoon of sugar
10) add began
cook until you are happy witht he thickness! we have ours really thick..yummy.
I think the garam masala is the bihariness in our family, lots of hyderabadi families we know dont add garam masala so that is optional!
