Re: badana anyone?

omg....I used to love it when I was younger.
Our nana abu used to bring it for us whenever we went to his house, may Allah bless his soul, ameen.
I have no idea how to make it but to explain what it is,they taste like jalebi....but look like small multi colored balls....

Re: badana anyone?

badana is a type of mithai....it's round and little and sweet and red, yellow and green.

Re: badana anyone?

I've known those as meethi boondi :)

Re: badana anyone?

Its quite popular at anytime .. its not as crunchy as jalebi though, little softer .. but yummy.

Re: badana anyone?

As soon as I saw the pic that chips6 posted I remembered themmmmmmmmmmmmmm :yummy:

and now I want them :grumpy:

Re: badana anyone?

It looks like they taste similar to jalebi (with the juices inside).

Re: badana anyone?

aren't they same as small colored ras gullas that are added in zarda also?

Re: badana anyone?

We call it bondi too. We don't make them we just buy them from our local mithai shop.

Shakarpareh are always a must during ramzan for my family too. :)
