Well the bad news first as it sets you up for the good.
It is with great sadness that I inform you that we missed the opportunity at gupshup to celebrate LUGHNASADH on August 1st, this is a time when plants are 'setting their seed" already for the next year as the cycle of nature continues. The Sun still burns brightly, but already the passing of the days begins to herald the coming of Autumn.
The good news is however that we have the autumn equinox or MABON to look forward to on September 21st, the days and nights are equal once again, gardens are in full bloom and heavy with nature’s bounty. There is a slight nip in the air already and preparations begin to prepare for the long cold months which are to come.
Let’s have some banners prepared for Mabon here’s my effort:
People people let's have some decorum and preserve sanctity please!
This is a serious topic and we could get a potential banner out of this, anything to get rid of the independence day one, it’s been up longer than the film was ever in the box office in the US.
So come one druids are no joke, and neither is Mabon!
Druids arent a joke? Hmm...well i guess i can agree...as long as they keep to their traditions of performing their ceremonies in the nude...most of them tend to be women.
I think you're thinking of Wiccans, I found your post to be highly insulting, if only there were some druids and wiccans around to defend themselves from your salacious comments!
Hang on I think you’re right though they both do it naked. Anyway where's the banner already?
Considering it is tradition to do it in the nude, i say the banner should have some nudity in it. Wiccan or Druidian of course. But traditions must be respected.
Look I've got zero tolerance for anything when it comes to naked druids, why can't they be represented more fully (and I mean fully) on GS!?
Buxom or not they deserve their place in the GS banner hall of fame in all their glory as nature intended, why it would be positively anti-Druid and downright bigotted to disagree.
Also it would be judging them and their religion if we casted any aspirations on their way of living and desire to be extremely natural.
As for all the druids...man i dont want to see some turn of the century druids on our banner. A certain age group should be maintained for a more positive outlook of the druidic society.
I suggest young and energetic ones, maybe practicing some of their customs and traditions. The choice of position or what traditions are to be taken belongs with Admin.
CM all we can do is try to raise awareness we're little people and shouldn't be so presumptuous as to start e-mailing religious ceremonies out to the admin, no matter how inclusive we’re trying to be.
I’ll let the people in the position to be truly representative decide.
Sorry, i guess in all my eagerness to promote the tolerance of druidic society i forgot my place as a lowly commoner. A simple member who doesnt achieve the standards of well the required standards to mingle with the admin :(
