Bad Manners

what are bad manners to you?

To me it’s unnecessarily slamming doors (I know it happens by accident sometimes)…

and spitting gum on the sidewalk. Actually, spitting anything anywhere…and I see alot of ppl who spit on the street and think its ok. I think it’s gross.

and do you think ppl confuse bad manners = being a bad person?

Re: Bad Manners

Well I hate it when guests don’t use dust bin, what’s the purpose of it, have guest in my home few months back n literally every morning I used to enter guest room n all tissue papers and garbage lying on floor, hello you are living in someone’s home :pcg:

Re: Bad Manners

I think its really bad manners to burp out loud, especially when you are eating at the table. I know when you have to burp you have to do it, but you can keep it quiet, inside, or you can excuse yourself and go do it else where.

Re: Bad Manners

*Chewing a gum or eating food and making ‘chup chup’ sounds…or chewing it like a cow.
*spitting while walking.
*Littering.Like maybe throwing a piece of tissue while walking.
*The biggest of all:Not looking at someone when they are talking to you exclusively.
*Sneezing without covering the mouth…gosh I want to smack those people.

There must be a lot more I cant think of.

Regarding bad manners=bad person,I don’t think so hat is always the case. Also depends on what bad manner was exhibited…:bummer:

Re: Bad Manners

  • Talking while having a food in your mouth
  • Not cleaning up plate/finishing food, leaving dirty napkins or tissues in your plate and waiting for someone to pickup it up for u from the table
  • sitting with bunch of people and then all of the sudden announcing 'oh I gtg Pee' (ldiots)
  • continuously interrupting when u see two people are talking to eachother

More later....

Re: Bad Manners

most recent one that I came across is Guests throwing baby diaper in kitchen trash :smack:

I mean … i mean … ufff

Re: Bad Manners

My SIL leaving her personal stuff.. ahem.. in trash in my guest bedroom.. Thats bad manners. Oh and I had to throw it away.
Oh and someone else's kids leaving a mess in your car .. and not cleaning up before leaving.

Re: Bad Manners

Changing your kids diaper on a table (eating place) even if you think "oh he only peed and his behind isnt touching" .. Just yuck! The kind of acts I sometimes have to tolerate in the name of family and well educated people, yikes.

Re: Bad Manners

i would not say bad manners equates to a bad person

i consider these as bad manners

  • side conversations in a meeting room - seriously disturbs the speaker
  • chewing nails
  • in case of a group get together ( potluck esp) the guests not volunteering to clean up the mess
  • not speaking in a common language when in a group

Re: Bad Manners

Not recycling, driving gas guzzlers, driving inefficiently, being rah rah about supporting troops while supporting unnecessary wars.

Re: Bad Manners

Interrupting someone while they are speaking..one of my biggest pet peeves
