Backpacking around the world

I stumbled upon a video of this Canadian/Swiss girl on youtube speaking about her adventurous trip across Asia. She travelled through different countries in Asia for almost a year, all on her own. She did say though that India and Pakistan aren’t safe for a woman to travel to by herself and that she was groped almost daily… Thanks so much, desi mard hazrat! :vivo:

So anyway, would you ever consider backpacking (a form of low-cost, independent international travel)? Why or why not? And what part of the world would you like to explore on the trip?

Re: Backpacking around the world

No. I don’t like carrying things on my shoulders for too long. Travelling through the airport is enoguh for me :vivo: I usually pack more than I need, so I don’t think I could ever properly backpack =/

Re: Backpacking around the world

If you ain't afraid getting raped/murdered/looted/tortured/sold off. Its not much difficult.

Re: Backpacking around the world

Inshallah soon. Airbnb, couch surfing, trains and friends' places.

"World" tour (my concept of the world is only a few countries though haha).

Re: Backpacking around the world

i watched first 10 parts of this backpacker’s video of their visit to an extensive tour of India…these guys are really funny and they have done their homework. i loved this travelogue!

i’ve traveled around the world extensively but, unfortunately, have never seen India up so close though i was born and raised there.

i think there are 25 parts to this video travelogue. enjoy these videos:

Re: Backpacking around the world

I did backpack not in distant past.

Venice at 5:30 am is an unforgettable place, so nice and so empty neither i can’t forget sleeping in my sleepsack under the Eifel with people from around the world.
Don’t you want to be awaken by cleaning guys at early hours in San Marco?

La dolce vita it was !

Since married with responsibilities & actually have to come back home safe in one piece are limitations to my backpacking plans its more like a normal tourism for myself now.
