The biggest disappointment is that the games are still being played in empty stadiums and during the day and the people are'nt being motivated to come to the games.
Furthermore, the TV coverage suck big time. Unless the games are day night and there is a quality TV coverage, the public would not be interested. They have to create that "atmosphere" that initially Ramiz the embezzling Raja was harping on about and now Sharyar the Cronyism Khan is hyping on about, in order to attrat the public.

I don't see any reason why the popularity would grow unless they include the Pakistan A team and Pakistan's national team into the competition just to spice it up!

Yes, they need to attract big name players both Pakistani and International, either through cash incentive or other means of compensation. If they want to expand and popularize cricket in Pakistan, they would have to invest some dough in it.

Is this a cricket tournament or chirya gharr? Hadd hai, bhai.
Anyway, they should offer these teams to corporations or other for-profit organizations, so they can buy these teams and make money from broadcast rights. The owners of the teams should build stadiums (with government's help in tax breaks) and collect gate-monies. Then start getting quality players by offering them *mouN-maangi *salaries. The more a team is successful, the more the opportunities for the owners of the team to make money.
Win-win.
Just converting teams to *jaanwars *is going to do jack for the improvement/popularity of domestic cricket.
