Some of the questions I have confronted with in India, regarding my age and being a bachelor…
why I am not getting married?
Are you already married?
Do you have any physical problem?
I believe Indians are too much interested in personal questions… In my state Karnataka people even get married at the age of 21… and for some ,if they happen to be on 27+,they feel it’s going to be difficult for them to find a girl!!! For girls ,no need to mention…
the other day one of my uncles said…your market value will go down so get married fast…
What about other cultures?I would like to know abt Pakistan too…
Re: Bachelor@ 32... How is this perceived in different socities?
"your marketvalue will go down so get married fast"-LOL
Its kinda similar in pakistan too. though its not too bad compared to a girls situation. like a lot of ppl i know who were above 30 yet they easily got a rishta. for some reason its considered that the guy should be mature so 30 or above is considered mature enough (and i have seen opposite too). also a lot of doctors i know got married when they were 30plus that is when were done with their education and were settled in their career and they all wanted young wives. but yes ppl do bother you with questions like "still not married? when are you getting married? you will get a divorcee/widow in this age? why didnot you get married earlier"...but then for guys its easy to skip such situations for girls its becomes harder since ppl bother girls more with such questions.
Re: Bachelor@ 32... How is this perceived in different socities?
if you marry young its a problem if ur older it's a problem.....
best do what you feel comfortable with...ppl are never happy..!!
many guys married at the age of 30 + in our family and alot also married younger so it's no big deal
Re: Bachelor@ 32… How is this perceived in different socities?
Mate speaking from experience even in the UK most guys try and sort out the issue by 25 or 30 at the latest… even if they dont get married they still settle down with a woman at some point…
32 really is pushing your luck brother… Too bad I dont know any rishta for you otherwise I would do my best to sort something out for you.
I mean I do know bachelors at 40+ but ussually they are that way becuase they… are either priests or they are somehow insane or something.
