My baby boy who delivered at 37weeks of pregnancy, has 45cm length. Is it normal?
He weighs 5.5lbs.

That is a bit on a smaller side. My baby was born premature at 33.4 weeks and his length was 44 cm and weigh 4.4 lbs at birth. Now at a year old he is almost 84 cm MashaAllah.

Do small babies (length wise) grow smaller adults too??

there are height predictor available online but they use the height at age 2. Mom and dad's age are also requested.

We hang around athletes and these competitive swimmers are so tall, we know these Indian people their boys were swimmers and they are so tall compared to short parents.

I am just very very particular about his diet. His weight is still on the lower end at a little more than 19 lbs at 12 months but height wise he is at 80% on the growth charts.

For the first 6 months when he was entirely on milk feeds, we kept him on Similac Neosure formula - it is made especially for premature babies with added vitamins, minerals & calcium. The regular formula has 20 calories per ounce this one has 24 calories per ounce. We used to feed him after every 3 hrs. Once he started on solids, I made sure to add unsalted Danish butter in all his meals & included a lot of fatty foods like banana, avacados, full fat yogurt & lots & lots of protein. Hope it helps!

Don't worry, my nephew was also born small and pre-mature. Now at 3 and a half months, he is taller than his one year old cousin, cos both his parents (my sister and her husband) are towards the tall side. Keep giving them nutritious feeds, breastfeed him, then when he turns 3, start on things like biscuits etc and he will grow to be healthy iA. My nephew loves biscuits and tea.
