so when does the babys colour actually stay put, as in when do you know what colour ur babys skin tone is…one day shes one pale next day shes red, one day everyone says shes fair like me, next day someone says oh today she looks bit darker like her dad…im not moaning, just wondered when their colour settles…shes 1 month old…mashallah :]

hmmm.... I think my daughter's skin tone stabilized at the age of around 2.5 months, don't remember clearly though.... can only guess from the baby pics I have :p

I think my daughter's skin colour settled after 7-8 months but she was a premie so may be things were different for her.

yar in my case it was so weird. the day she was born she was MA soooooo white and pinky.. ppl were sayin makeup karke ayi hia she was that fair but suddenly on third day she became sanwali and i was so shocked... her hands and legs all changed color. now at 6 mnths her face color is nothin like it was at birth, its medium color.. lil close to fair only. hands,legs, tummy all are sanwali i dunno why.. its not as if i took her out in sun or something.. i dunno why such difference? in my case her face color improved a bit (from sanwali) and other body parts either turned a bit dark or remained the same.

Kids change skintone a lot .. usually when they are younger and especially when they start school
We siblings were all born very fair, but most of us are now a wheatish color.

I was born very very dark, and then by the time I turned 1, I became very very fair, and have stayed that way the rest of my life. But I was literally so dark when I was born, everyone would ask who I took after (my entire family is pathan - so no one knew why I was so dark). But after the age of 1, I totally changed.

So true.. It can change a lot, I think even at toddler age it's not necessarily an indication of the tone they'll end up being.. In our family we've swung both ways :D

yeah i want a fair baby too like snow with pink-pink cheeks. his skin color will save him from a lot of prejudices and humiliations that can lead to depression or worst, make him to an aggressive and asocial man. but for that i need a man with really white dominant genes, i guess. sigh

cherry was that sarcasm or u seriously mean it?? :D anyway my hubs is wheatish but on darker side and i m medium fair but AH my daughter is normal complexion.. cant say fair though. have loads of orange juice, milk items and ull b fine! cus thaz wht i did in my preg.. maybe that worked.. cant say for sure cus scientifically its the genes.
