My 1 yr old son wakes up alot of times during sleep. I feed him n as soon as it’s in his mouth he falls asleep n wen I try to pull it out from his mouth he wakesup n won’t sleep until it’s given back. How to change this habit.? N eat should I do so that he sleeps atleast 3 hrs at a single stretch. Now he is waking up every 40-60 minutes. I need to sleep badly!

Re: Baby won't sleep
Have you gotten him checked out by his doctor for colic or any other issue? Also does he have an attachment to the bottle to fall asleep. Try to get rid of the habit, maybe feed him & then give him warm bath, massage and put him to sleep then.
Re: Baby won't sleep
He is perfectly ok mashAllah, no illness. I have tried putting bottle n pacifiers in his mouth alot of times but he pushes it out through his tongue. Doesn't even like to drink formula or fresh milk. N about massage, I will try but I don't think it will work.

Well you said "I feed him n as soon as it's in his mouth he falls asleep n wen I try to pull it out from his mouth he wakesup n won't sleep until it's given back. ". That is why it seemed to me that maybe he has developed an attachment to sucking on bottle in order to fall asleep. Some kids develop this habit that they dont necessarily need the milk but just need the bottle to soothe them to sleep. Just like some babies need a lovey toy or some need a pacifier.
What does your baby's pediatrician say?
Re: Baby won't sleep
He seems to be comfort feeding. I am sure he is Mashallah healthy, but he might not be getting enough food to help him sleep through the night.
As Afro said, go see a child paedetrician.
Also, maybe he needs a routine. Like, bathe him, feed him, change his clothes and then put him down to take a nap.
How old is he?

He is 1 yr n 2months old. I have talked to his paedeatrician n he is getting his food to the full. I bathe him put him in a night suit n feed him him but after everything is done he is not sleepy. Sleeps whenever he wants n while feeding ONLY.
Re: Baby won't sleep
my son used to do taht too... i would feed him and he woudl fall asleep. after only 10 mins he would start stirring and wake up and act as if he was hungry.. i would make him a feed and he would take only a few sucks before falling asleep again. so i would take out his bottle but he would wake up after again.. only 10 mins.. '
soon i understood he wanted to suck whilst he slept.. so it ried to give him a pacifier but that was useless.. i tried giving hi mwater but he only wanted a milk bottle in his mouth to help him sleep...
so i put an end ot that.. it was stupid.. i wasnt getting any sleep at all and it was frustatring cuz he wasnt hungry but to have me sit there and just feed him.. was insane.
so i made him go cold turkey.... i believe he cried the first 2 days and i got zilch sleep.. but i had to make him realize that he has to learn to sleep without anything. and he learned. now mashallah he takes his bath, i feed him, and he falls asleep.. wakes up in the middle of the night but has learned to put himself to sleep... i have stopped giving him any lullabys, rocking, or anything like that..
its really hard but ure gonna havta make him learn to fall asleep without anything in his mouth.... im sure it will be ok cuz my son is only 3 months.. he was a 2 month odl when i did this with him.. ure son is older and probably set in his routine.. so it may be a bit harder.. but dont give up ok ..
