We put the baby in it sometimes to make her feel better, but I need to ask, is it alright to let the baby sleep in it for long intervals like 2 hours or so? It is arch shaped, I fear if it may affect baby’s back or inflict any other harm, specially when mine already has a weak stomach and throws up the milk most of the time. So need your insight on this. Thanks in advance.
As far as I know you are not supposed to keep baby in there for hours on end, I must admit though, our car seat is similar shape to yours and when i visit my family and baby s sleeping i peave her in there so i can have dinner in peace and then if she has been in a while i may take her out but i have only dne this twice. I think 2 hours may be ok as you might be going somewhere in the car that is a two hour drive, i am sure we wouldn’t stop to take baby out.
1-2 hour nap is fine, just make sure your keeping an eye on her. Also, the reclined position may actually help her keep the milk down and not spit up as much.
Mirage, people here say its alright to keep the baby in for upto 3-4 hours .. but honestly i wouldnt put them in there for more then an hour or two .. purely for the sake of their backs !
yea the back issue worries me. Their bones are so fragile. Thats why I thought to come and ask here since those who have experience know better than us :hinna:
if u are doing it so she keeps her milk down and can sleep a bit… try a wedge.. u put under the crib mattress at a 30 deg angle.. we used this for the whole of aariz’ infancy since he had reflux too. some ppl also wedge the entire crib up at the head.. by placing thick books like the yellow pages under each leg of the crib
if u are doing it just cuz u wanna use the carry cot.. 1-2 hours isnt gonna be an issue
