Oh and another game played at my baby shower was like this:
in a bowl/wide cup , fill it with rice. Now add like 15-20 safety pins into the dry rice. Pass the bowl around to people so they can take turns. What you do is count to 10 secs and see how many safety pins the person can get out in 10 secs with just 1 hand. Who ever gets the most wins a prize. At my shower my mom had gotten little cute baby items as prizes...also picture frames...big chocolates(jumbo size bars)....and i thought idea was whack but some folks liked it, my mom had little religous books/articles....mini ones.
Also you can set up a really nice book, or stationary paper and ask mothers/ladies for any advice for the mother to be for her baby. YOu can put that together for her as a gift.
Also you can have the guests each bring in a picture of them and the mother to be from before....and put together a collage or a photo album. Its nice memories for the mother to be to have.
