has anyone had a baby shower lately?

-what are some games to play?
-what decorations to have?
-do ppl give out favors?

on my sisters baby shower, we played like many games all related with of course BABY....
first game...take a string and ask everyone around to cut a piece of string that will measure the mothers waist...whoever gets it right get a present...you can get presents from party city...thats where we got ours
second game....bring couple of baby foods...cover the labels and ask everyone to taste it and guess what flavor or what food it is...trust me it soooo much fun cuz baby food is disgustingggggg....lol..whoever gets the most right gets a presenttttt....

^ lol.....yea those are the 2 games we always play at baby showers. But I wouldnt buy prizes from party city(too expensive)....go to dollar store and get creative! Another game we play is ....fill up a huge jar with Q-tips (the baby kind) and make every guess how many are in there. Whoever guesses it correctly (or the closes number) gets to take home that huge jar :D
for a nice keepsake for the mom-to-be you could get a notepad and have everyone give their advice on child rearing...you can also get a solid colored baby blanket set it up on a table for everyone to sign.
google "baby shower games" ....that's what i did for my friends showers....we got tons of ideas that way.

At my sister-in-law's baby shower we filled a pan with uncooked rice and put safety pin in the rice. Then you blind fold one person at time and they have to take out the pins and the person who finds the most pins wins.
