Baby Proofing your house

Please share the things you did to baby proof your home. My little one is sharpening her crawling techniques and I can forsee her crawling everywhere in the house in future. Even right now my mom faces problem in controlling her as she can not be left un attended , two times she has been caught getting down from the bed on her own. We have got her a cot and apparently she hates it :frowning:

Re: Baby Proofing your house

I have been recently married and i am already planning ahead for the incoming Faris of the house.

Just in case i have already bought a load of electrical plug stoppers… and stair gates.

My personall armoury was already under lock and key… now it’s been shifted to the third floor and barred behind iron doors that would stop a magnum.

Hopefully i will do another risk assesment later.

I know i was a wild child and for once i am glad i never grew up proper, it takes one to know one. So i am ready for the pest when he comes

I would say plug stoppers are mandatory when the child is able to crawl about.

Oh and i have decided the day he’s born i will quit smoking for good. :smokin2:

Re: Baby Proofing your house

ok thanks for sharing BUT

how are you sure that you will have a baby boy :hmmm:

Re: Baby Proofing your house

She needs to get used to the cot. It'll take time.

I need to start too...we need those gates for stairs and covers for outlets.

Maybe a playpen too, for when I need to get something done and can't kern her in one place.

Re: Baby Proofing your house

I never said baby had to be boy for sure? :konfused:

a girl can be a warrior too… :hehe:

Actually i would be more scarred if the babdy was a girl she i am sure could do a lot more damage. :hehe:

Anyhow if it’s a girl there another problem too girl babies are even more inquisitive and therefore more danger prone than boys.

If baby was a boy i could give him the cold face and scare him into doing good.

But how can i be so harsh to baby girl?

If it’s a girl she will be spoilt like a queen.

awww that is sooo sweet :flower1:

Re: Baby Proofing your house

hmm i just searched images of playpen since dinno wot it was. amazingly it luks 90 percent same like a travel cot that i purchased... so isnt it better to just use that in place of playpen. my babys only 2mnths i got time before i worry abt her crawling .. hehe :D

Re: Baby Proofing your house

Yeah, it's the same thing.

Re: Baby Proofing your house

My daughter hated the playpen :bummer: Every time I put her in, she started wailing… thankfully we were in an apartment then so I just baby-proofed the living room and let her crawl all over there, having less furniture helped a lot

I don’t know what I’m gonna do with the next one… she’s gonna drive me mad… I have a huge house now with an open layout (no doors on the main level), too much furniture and hidden corners :frowning:
