Yes that would explain my Perian theory, many people in Pakistan have Persian influenced names, Farsee having once been the forerunner to modern Urdu.
As far as Islamic name is concerned I think it’s still a very sweet name and is perfectly fine. Zerish or Zarish is a popular name used to denote somone wealthy or lucky.
