Sisters, just went in for my routine check up and the doctor checked ny babys heartbeat! She found the heartbeat quite low, near my pubic hair line TMI !!! Is it normal? She didnt seem concerned and said everything is fine ! The doppler was kinda rustic too as she mentioned ! Did anyone experience this ever? Low laying baby, or heartbeat found that low! I think I am freaking out a little lol !

If your doctor isn’t concerned, I wouldn’t be. The baby is so small right now, it’s gonna move around a lot. Next appointment it’ll probably be in another position. I’m 26 weeks and mine is in a different spot each time.

Thank you SGC ! I have my anamoly scan on Monday ! Hoping to find the gender so I can start shopping already! You are from Toronto right? Any advice on travel systems and where can I find good ones; would be appreciated

How far along are you? When you’re not that far along the heartbeat is usually found down low.

there’s a whole thread on strollers and travel systems here. I would visit moms to be and more on bayview or safety superstore in mississauga to check out strollers. There is always babies r us too.

Baby moves around so much in the first-second tri that it’s not anything to worry about. Every time I’ve heard the heartbeat it’s been in a completely different position - left, right, near the belly button, or way down below. It’s really nothing to worry about.
When I read the title I mistook it for low-lying placenta: now that’s problematic! I hope no-one has had that problem!
