My daughter is MasAllah 16 months now and she is now a toddler instead of baby.. I miss the days when I use to lay down next to this little baby :(.. do you people with toddlers miss those years? I don’t know maybe it’s time to start thinking about baby # 2 ![]()
Re: baby growing up!
:) Every phase in a child's life is so precious, my daughter is 4.5 years now and these days are pretty good too (MashaAllah)..... enjoy every day, you will begin missing them soon enough. Go for baby # 2 if you think you're physically and emotionally ready :)
Re: baby growing up!
my daughter is 14 months and i was thinkin the same thing the other day.
but to be honest i love the way she is now more as shes more interactive and independant. i think each stage is cherishable
Re: baby growing up!
coolgirl, I look at my 22 month old daughter and it makes me SO sad at how fast she's growing up. I actually teared up when I converted her crib to a toddler bed. It is so hard to see them not dependent on you anymore on so many things.
I don't remember when but one day I came to her crib in the morning and it seems like I put a little baby to sleep and up awoke a little girl. It is so bittersweet.
I know now why people have a second child. Enjoy every SECOND of your baby's life.
I was once flying from Portland Oregon to New York and my daughter was with me, she was 11 months at the time, and she was walking around the airport in her jammies and this business traveler, very well dressed was just looking me and my daughter playing together, he had such sadness in his eyes and he said to me "it will go by in the blink of an eye, I have a 17 year old daughter and I can remember so vividly when she was that age (pointing at my daughter)", I will never forget that man and what he said.

my abu says the same…that one day he used to come home to 3 daughters all around every where in the house and the next day they grew up and went away…
…it felt as if years went by in minutes…
Re: baby growing up!

u guys made me cry.... yesterday I was my daddy's girl ..today I am a mother watching her baby quickly grow up...he was just born yesterday but he is almost a month....
my daughter is 17 months old and is growing so fast. hubby said the other day that he wished time could stop and we live these moments for ever… she is in love with shoes (high heels!!!
) and hand bags!!!
talks like aunties:mad: and gives instructions to her cousin (boy- aged4).
hubby already planning her wedding
and how he will buy her a house next door as he will miss her
Re: baby growing up!
I too wish that time would stop and that she would remain my angel for ever.
Re: baby growing up!
im so with u on there aahmed... wish time would just stop.
munchkin is 3.5 Mashallah... and i look at pics of her as a toddler.. she's not even considered a toddler anymore! i had such sadness when i realised that...
but every phase is cherishable... these days, munchkin is going through sharing emotions... and to hear ur child say "love u mama..." is the most awesomest feeling ever..
i will bawl my eyes out when she gets married..
my daughter was just born and masha allah she is 8 months already :jano: I can’t wait for the day when she will call me mama ![]()
my dad used to say same thing for me that “you grew up so fast” and he used to say that " I wish you become a toddler again and I can buy you all the toys that I couldn’t at that time "
and I think that his wish became true in the form of my daughter , who is now living in his house.
Unlike all your people above I want my daughter to grow up fast , get married & settled before I die. I want to see her happy in her life so that I can die peacefully.
I miss those days when my son will just look at me and just smile. Now I'm having have a hard time with him .
