A healthy baby is a blessing which a lot of us take for granted.

Is having a healthy baby that uncommon? not exactly! Infact, nature is kind enough to grant us healthy babies most of the time. Percentage is hig too alhumdolilah!

why not give me two boys babe ;)

Re: Baby Girl

this is nothing new, it has been hapening for ages.

Anyway I have a boy and a girl.

Being a father when I had my boy was special but being the father of my daughter was even more special. Daughters are very special.

My daughter is 1 year and 4 months old. I come from work and her face lights up. She is a proper daddys girl. She knows she can get anything she wants and she is very clever in obtaining what she wants.

Daughters always have a special place in a fathers heart and thats the way it should be. I cant understand all this about wanting a boy over a girl. Like someone said earlier, the biggest blessing is having a healthy baby, and this is something we take for granted.

Re: Baby Girl

I come from a similar family. They even though subconsciously want a boy to which I reply - What if I have a girl? Will I have to give it up for adoption? Then they regress and say well we didn't mean it 'that' way. We just want a healthy baby :p
Anyways it is how the society is in Pak and most other places. The message that Muhammad saw delivered hasn't sunk in just yet.

Re: Baby Girl

Very true. The message that Muhammed(saw) delivered hasn't sunk in just yet on a lot of issues.

Re: Baby Girl

Re: Baby Girl

apparantly when i was born (3rd girl in the family), the family was baanting mithai outside the OT, and the nurses were like, aap log mithayan baant rahey hain, pados main pehli beti huee hai aur wahan sab log roh dho rahey hain.

Re: Baby Girl

That's really refreshing to hear. CLAPS FOR YOUR FAMILY

I was told by relatives that my dad wasn't exactly thrilled when i was born (and i'm the first child). Oh well. It's still nice to see that we all think differently.
