my two meanings were both from the Alif and Ein to spell them.
If your friend has found the meaning elsewhere what is the Arabic spelling? If she has that...and the definition, i'd appreciate it so i can check with my friend.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh just looked at wiki- so her meaning is NOT arabic but Persian.
It means Noble/ Iranian or Aryan
this leads to the tricky thing that if it has a negative meaning in Arabic...and a common Hindu name do you want to choose it?
