I love Nooreen and all its variations. and would have given this name to a girl if I had one - sigh. But also SO beautiful are the names Rose and Grace. Not typical desi names I know but such beautiful meanings which is the requirement in Islaam. I'd have named my girl Grace Nooreen or Nooreen Rose.

oh mama, grace is very pretty... i love eva and ava too, and its the same thing- they're both derivatives of eve of adam and eve fame- so not necessarily arabic but islamic nonetheless :p

i found some more pretty names that sadly, the hubs, has dismissed. haha oh well... perhaps someone else will find them inspiring...

Amalia - also Arabic, comes from the word "Amal" which means hope or aspiration Zayna/Zaina - Arabic, means "Glorious" Sharmeen - "First ray of the sun" in Sanskirt Aarya - Arabic for "Noble woman", in Sanskirt "a line of prayer"
I've never heard of Lenore/Lenora before, but it sounds really nice!
