Hi, can they tell the sex of the baby at 12 weeks? I’m going to ask and if they tell me that they can’t tell for sure I’m going to assume it’s a girl for now because if it’s a boy they can usually tell quite quickly? What do u think?

Here u got it wrong. At 12 week both have penis like organ, after that if its a girl, it starts going back and if its a boy it will develop more.
I was told something at week 12 and later at week 20 something else, so I assume that at week 20 its more acurate and I will stick with it. You can ask at week 12, an experience will look at the angle of the organ that is the same for both at that stage and make a guess but it will not be very acurate at that stage.
